For a long time we (Patty and
Mitchell) talked about how cool it would be to get behind the wheel of a VW Bus
and travel off the beaten path. In the spring of 2006, talk turn to action
as we started to seriously look for one that was in decent shape for our future
adventures. Initially we planned to take "it" camping and on short
trips near our home in Medford Lakes, New Jersey. After a few years,
when the time was right, we would head off for a life of full time
vagabonding across the country and south to who knows where...
We
searched high and low (or at least on the Internet) for a Westy and after a
couple of months we found one in New Hampshire. We convinced ourselves we
were only going to NH to look at "it" one weekend in July, 2006. Of
course, it took only a short test drive in the pouring down rain to know
she belong with us.
On the way home, as I drove "her" (we knew by then that she was
a girl) and Patty followed in our car, we both racked our
brains searching for just the right name. At a rest stop somewhere in New
York, Patty told me she'd hit on the perfect name.... "Miss Dazey". I
agreed and it stuck from that moment. We hit the road for the rest of the
trip home - Patty in our car and me Driving Miss Dazey. This website is
